Tis the Season

I had the opportunity to go to our ward adult Christmas party/fireside. I have to say that I did eat the food and it was great. No ham and no cold green beans! Nice homemade rolls, shredded beef, baked potatoes and salad. We were even served by the young men. It has been so hard to get in spirit of Christmas this year that I was really looking forward to the Christmas fireside. It definitely help as we watched a video of Christ and listen to such beautiful music by Cameron Steele. He is so talented. He has been blessed with the gift of music and an amazing testimony that is shared through words and lyrics. It is impossible to deny the spirit that filled the chapel tonight. I am so thankful for my Savior and His atoning sacrifice. For His love and patience with mankind. When we truly take a step back we can see what we sometimes take for grated or it just becomes something that we do and we tend to lose the meaning. Be near me Lord Jesus, I ask thee to stay. Close by me forever, and love me I pray. Bless all the dear children in thy tender care, and fit us for heaven to live with thee there. How thankful I am for the gospel and the knowledge to know that I can live with him again.
