Our Week

What a week we have had. Drew, Aurah, Emerson and I drove up to see Grandpa and Grandma Christensen. Grandma made a delicious lunch; chicken cordon blue, potatoes, corn and even homemade rolls. The girls were really good even without naps! Emmy snuggled Grandpa for a little bit. It was an rare occasion to see. She loves her grandpa that is for sure. Grandma played with the girls while Drew and I cleaned up. Aurah played with all of the toys and would not really get over being shy. Since Drew was in charge of her her hair was not done. She kept saying piggies? So I curled her hair and we played for a while. We had lots of fun! I can't wait for Emerson to have a little bit of hair.
Emerson has been teething for the past week or two. The first tooth finally broke through and then 2 days later the tooth next to it came through. She looks so cute with her two bottom teeth.
Lots of doctors appointments added to our week. I finally got another pair of glasses. It is so nice to be able to see at night and not have the dry eyes from wearing my contacts too long.
We went to BalloonaPalooza on Saturday as a family. We had a good time. It was not busy at all and the weather was so nice. It was during Emerson's nap time but she was very good. She looked and acted tired but did not want to miss out on anything. I wish that we could have spent the whole day there but I had to go to work and Brad went to the football game. I love being with my family and spending time with them. I'm looking forward to many more days like this one. Emerson checking out the Ferris Wheel

She started to get really tired on the ride. I am guessing all the up and downs on the horse and going in circles will do that to you. She was smiling in the other pictures but I thought that this was so cute. She looks so exhausted.
