We had a quick trip to the beach and our 2nd trip of the year to Disneyland. It was so nice of Sarah to lets us borrow their van. Drew, heather and Aurah made for great company on the way down. We spent the first day at the swap meet and the beach. It was warm and oh so nice. Emerson did not have a nap all day so by the time we got to the beach she was not happy. She hated the cold water and the sand. She finally fell asleep and started to enjoy herself. I was feeling a little worried because the beach is one of my favorite places to go. In the back of my mind all I could think is that she will learn to LOVE the BEACH!
The week before our trip was quite the week. I took Emmy off of the bottle and switched her to whole milk. Not a good idea before you go on vacation. Anyways it was 4 days of hell from my stubborn, strong willed child. She would not take naps or sleep at night. I had a great baby that turned one and is now rotten. I was at my breaking point. No not giving into the bottle again but to cancel our trip. Brad told me that I was crazy. He wanted to give in days ago. But like mother like daughter I am just as stubborn. Needless to say by the time we got to California she was fine.
Disneyland was great. It was nice to walk around and just go on a few rides. Emerson was very tired from the previous week so we would go back to the hotel take naps. It was so much fun to see my cousin. They are so much fun. We had a great time talking, eating and playing games.
Emerson has been taking steps so it was not as easy this time around. She didn't love being in the stroller and hated having to wait in any line. Can't say that I blame her I feel the same way! Other than that we had an awesome trip with great company.

Um...she better learn to LOVE the beach! I had a blast at Disneyland with that cute girl! Thanks for letting me take her on a few rides. Haunted Mansion was the best with her deep little laugh!

Sounds like so much fun.... disneyland is the best. I bet she will like the sand as she gets a little older. Ella loved it when we were in Newport for a week and she was ten months. Then we went when she 15 months or so and HATED it. But has gotten over her hate for the sand and now loves it. Emerson is a doll:)
